Van Gogh as a Phenomenon

While working on this video installation I found endless tributes, remakes and homages to Vincent Van Gogh. From Gustav Klimt to Banksy it seems as if everyone loves to give their own take on Van Gogh’s paintings. You can see this video installation in Gogh museum from March 2016.mozaeik color

Munch Van Gogh Exhibition

Amsterdam’s Van Gogh Museum brings together two of the trailblazers of modern art for a unique exhibition running from 25 September 2015 to 17 January 2016. For this exhibition I made a film installation that brings for the first time two series of the masters that were never exhibit before.

Edvard Munch

Both Edvard Munch and Vincent Van Gogh dreamt of a solo exhibition. Edvard Munch painted “Frieze of Life” series accompanied by his words of poetry. Van Gogh wanted to decorate his whole house with his painting for Paul Gauguin’s visit.  Both their dreams never made it to reality, not while they were alive. Never the less their best paintings were made as part of these series. These days I am making a film installation that brings their series of work into one (virtual) space for the first time. The morning after

Bucharest

Renewing  my internet site is more exciting than expected. First of all it made me realize how happy I am with Ehud Neahuas’ web-design. It also makes me conjuring what I have done last year and what are my plans and schedule for this year. It reminds me a bit of doing taxes. It’s a dairy made from numbers and names

Black box

During the artist residency, we spend most of our time in a black box, for our performance “Get Lost and Disappear’. I felt like I vanished there sometimes.

Centre de las artes

San Luis Potosi 02

2015 started in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, where I was Artist in Residence. The art centre is located in a renovated in an old prison, a building full of stories. After the month I spent there I heard many stories, most of them where sad, off course. It made me happy realizing that now the building is used by the community and artist for creativity.
